The anterior medial malleolar artery is a branch of the anterior tibial artery. After it arises at the level of the medial malleolus, the anterior medial malleolar artery curves around it and forms the medial malleolar network.

The anterior medial malleolar artery supplies the region of the medial malleolus, the tarsal bones and the ankle joint.

The anterior lateral malleolar artery is a branch of the anterior tibial artery. The lateral anterior malleolar artery arises at the level of the lateral malleolus, then curves around it and forms the lateral malleolar network.

This artery supplies the region of the lateral malleolus, ankle joint and the tarsal bones.

The posterior medial malleolar branches are branches that arise from the posterior tibial artery. The medial malleolar branches of the posterior tibial artery turn around the medial malleolus and together with the medial anterior malleolar artery from the anterior tibial artery and the tarsal medial arteries from the dorsalis pedis artery form the medial malleolar network.

The medial malleolar branches supply the medial malleolus, the ankle joint and the tarsal bones.
