The arterial blood supply to the stomach originates from the abdominal aorta and is provided via two anastomotic systems that form around the curvatures and several direct branches.

The right and left gastric arteries form the anastomosis along the lesser curvature. The right gastric artery arises from the common hepatic artery, while the left originates from the celiac trunk.
The anastomosis along the greater curvature is formed by the union of the right and left gastroepiploic (gastroomental) arteries. The right one originates from the gastroduodenal artery, while the left gastroepiploic artery arises from the splenic artery.
The splenic artery also gives rise to the short gastric arteries, which are short vessels that directly supply the fundus and the upper body of the stomach.
The pyloric part of the stomach receives blood supply via the gastroduodenal artery that arises from the common hepatic artery.

The venous drainage of the stomach is provided by veins that follow a similar course and nomenclature as the arteries. They ultimately drain into three large veins - the hepatic portal, splenic, and superior mesenteric veins.
