External abdominal oblique muscle

The external abdominal oblique muscle is the largest and most superficial flat muscle in the abdominal wall. Its fibers run in the inferomedial direction. Starting from the midclavicular line, the muscle fibers become aponeurotic in the medial direction, forming the external oblique aponeurosis. Fibers insert in the entire length of the linea alba, which extends onto the pubic crest and pubic tubercle.
