Angular and facial vein

Angular vein

The angular vein is a blood vessel formed by the union of supratrochlear and supraorbital veins. The angular vein penetrates the orbicularis oculi and enters the orbit, joins the supraorbital vein to form the superior ophthalmic vein. Then, from the medial angle of the eye, it descends along the lateral surface of the nose, passes beneath the zygomaticus major and continues its course as the facial vein.
