Maxillary lateral incisor

The maxillary lateral incisor is very similar to the maxillary central incisor, but its inciso-cervical length is usually longer than the mesiodistal length. To compare both tooth, the central incisor is approximately the same length in both directions. Also, the maxillary lateral incisor has a longer root, and it has more rounded incisal angles. The distoincisal angle of the maxillary lateral incisor is even more rounded, as well as more rounded is also the distal outline, while the mesial outline of this tooth is flatter. The labial surface of the lateral incisor is relatively flat compared to the central incisor.
